Some Celtic fans have become quite emotional as Twitter account Highland Paddy shared previously unseen footage of Jock Stein’s side returning to Glasgow in 1967 with the European Cup.
The greatest days in the club’s history are certainly well chronicled but every now and then something fresh emerges to relive the magic in a different light.
Starting with the team coming off the plane at Glasgow/Abbotsinch Airport the clip moves on quickly to the fans gathering outside Celtic Park as the bus turns off London Road into Kerrydale Street.
Despite an evening of celebrations in the Portuguese capital the players look bright and fresh as they get off the bus to return to Celtic Park.
Inside the ground they were ushered onto a lorry as the famous trophy made it’s first appearance in Glasgow, almost 53 years later that achievement is still treated with respect by Celtic fans worldwide.
The cine film captures the emotion and excitement of an incredible time, when a group of men from drawn from Glasgow, Lanarkshire and one from Ayrshire brought football’s most coveted trophy to British shores for the first time.
I’ve unearthed this silent footage of Celtic returning from Lisbon , different from the one I posted a earlier .
Look out for Cesar carrying his sombrero , filming from inside the main door as the team arrives and some marvellous images of the team as they go round the park ? pic.twitter.com/WbNYePRBUg— Highland__Paddy (@Highland__paddy) March 25, 2020

I’m hoping it brings back memories for those who were there , and a window to look through for those that weren’t ?
