Celtic have been working to renegotiate the ticket allocations for the Glasgow derby.

In the summer of 2018 Dave King announced that Celtic would be given the same allocation of tickets to Ibrox that Hamilton Accies and Ross County get.

The first derby of the season was at Celtic Park with just 800 away fans present to see Olivier Ntcham score the only goal of the game with that pattern in play ever since.

After both teams won their home fixtures last season this terms results have resulted in two away victories, in December Steven Gerrard famously high-fived Neil Lennon then screamed into the Sky Sports cameras in delight at his side’s win.

Next Sunday Celtic are back at Ibrox with the SPFL still to announce details of the post-split reverse fixture.

In December there was a 50-50 ticket split for the League Cup Final at Hampden but until there is a U-turn in the Ibrox boardroom it seems certain that only a token 800 away fans will attend SPFL matches between the two clubs.
