Ibrox season ticket holders won’t be entitled to a penny in compensation of the season is brought to an early halt.

Over 40,000 fans hold season tickets with the first fixture lost the visit of Celtic on March 15.

Steven Gerrard’s side were scheduled to play Motherwell at home on April 4, the long-postponed fixture against St Johnstone and two matches after the Premiership split.

Loyal bears forked out for 19 SPFL matches but as it stands they have only had 14 of those matches with no indication when or if the current season will resume.

The Sun reports:

Rangers season ticket holders however, the club state that they will not be held liable in the event that games are cancelled.

The Ibrox club’s season ticket terms and conditions for this season state: “The club, in conjunction with the relevant football authorities, reserve the right to alter the published date and/or kick-off time of any fixture at any time.

“The club cannot accept any liability for any expense incurred even in the event that the match is cancelled.”

After shelling out for season tickets Ibrox fans could have paid for entry into four glamour friendlies through July against Oxford, Marseilles, Blackburn and Derby before paying into four Europa League qualifiers.

In November the club accounts carried a Going Concern warning along with an estimate of a £10m shortfall for the current season.
