Neil Lennon has dismissed reports that Celtic are preparing a bumper new contract for Odsonne Edouard.

The striker has been in outstanding form for Celtic and the French u-21 side this season with a string of important goals that have put the hoops in contention for another treble.

Celtic paid £9m to Paris Saint Germain for the striker in June 2018 with a four year contract agreed after a successful season on loan.

With two years left on his deal this summer will be a vital time with the player expected to be in demand with big money offers likely to be table.

There have been suggestions on social media that Celtic should offer increased terms to ensure that the player remains for next season with a French source picking up on that over the weekend.

At a media conference today at Celtic Park The Sun reports:

When asked if he could say anything on French media reports, Lennon said: “I can’t. I’d love to but that’s from the French side of things and nothing from this side of the water.”

Over the last two summer transfer windows Celtic have sold Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney to boost their bank balance to around £40m.
