Andy Gray has waded into the debate over how the current season should be concluded.

The former Sky Sports presenter in now based in Qatar where he fronts up BeIN’s coverage of European football throughout the Middle East.

Over the last couple of days there has been a realisation that football could be in for a lengthy break, measured in months rather than weeks, with the squabble for league places and points becoming more of a sideshow.

No Championship that’s unfinished should be declared finished. In Scotland, it’s even closer [compared to England]. It’s close and it’s not close as it might be or should be but it’s too close to call still [in regards to handing out the title].

When the Joint Response Group suspended Scottish football on March 13 Celtic had a 13 point lead at the top of the SPFL table with eight matches left to play.

Apart from a few lone voices wanting the season declared null and void almost everyone around the game wants to see the remaining fixtures completed regardless of how long it takes to get football restarted.

Last Tuesday UEFA stated that they hoped domestic campaigns would be completed by June 30 is already looking highly optimistic.
