The impact of Coronavirus was discussed on STV’ Scotland Tonight programme when the discussion turned to the impact on Scottish football.

Matches in and France have been played behind closed doors, ties have been with new restrictions for the UK expected to be announced early this afternoon.

Every area of society will be impacted with Torchuil Crichton of the Daily Record voicing the thoughts of thousands on the flagship news programme.

It seems that there are no lengths that people will go to stop winning the league!

With the Glasgow derby just three days away the Scottish Government and the SPFL will be keen to delay any restrictions on Scottish football until next week.

The SFA and SPFL have issued two statements this week with one prompting clubs to check their ‘Business Interruption Insurance’ and the other warning that the SPFL has no cash reserve to tide clubs over if games are played behind closed doors.

Over the next month have only one scheduled home match, against St Johnstone on March 21. The SPFL may be forced to delay their five rounds of post-split fixtures.
