The long running and well established Twitter Account Celtic Underground has claimed that the SPFL are about to declare Game Over for the 2019/20 season.

With over 60,000 followers the CU account has a better accuracy rate than most with tonight’s tweet in-line with the messages coming out of Hampden since Friday’s conference calls.

Ann Budge admitted in a Hearts statement last week that late July or August was the best case scenario for the resumption of football which presents the authorities with a multitude of issues.

By that time around 20% of SPFL players will be out of contract meaning that the team-lines at the start of March could be much changed by the time of the best-case resumption.

Null and void isn’t a viable option after 30 rounds of fixtures in a professional league meaning that Celtic will be declared champions. Some grand standing and website statements can be expected from across the city but it seems that they have more pressing liquidity issues than losing another title to the long term champions.
