BBC Scotland has cut their world exclusive interview with Gregory Campbell from their podcast of Sportsound this afternoon.
No advance publicity was given to the scoop, Richard Gordon suddenly turned to the DUP MP on the phone with none of the other pundits allowed to question the special guest.
When Gordon turned to Michael Stewart for reaction and follow up he dismissed the views that the MP had expressed.
Campbell said very little, appeared to have no interest in Scottish football beyond what he has been fed from social media innuendo.

A controversial DUP MP’s appearance on BBC Sportsound has been cut from the podcast version of Saturday’s show.
Politician Gregory Campbell’s interview sparked an angry backlash online after he was quizzed over raising a parliamentary motion for an independent inquiry into the SPFL voting fiasco.
Campbell, a Rangers fan, brought the early day motion forward this week in a bid to gain support inside the House of Commons.
He was invited onto Sportsound to explain the parliamentary process under which he’d tabled it while conceding the matter “pales into insignificance” in the wider context of the pandemic, which has now claimed over 200,000 lives worldwide.
Pundit Michael Stewart appeared to show his disdain for the MP’s appearance in a Tweet that thanked each of the episode’s contributors apart from Campbell. His segment has now been removed from the show’s listen again version, available to download.
Campbell wasn’t asked any detailed questions about Scottish football with the theme being that there might be something so an investigation is needed.
The last time that BBC Scotland edited a podcast was when they refused to use the Sportsound edition where Stewart criticised James Traynor. The former Hearts midfielder was suspended for three weeks after that incident.
