After weeks of sticking closely to the script, throwing mud and innuendo in all directions Alex Rae dropped his guard last night.
One caller to Radio Clyde’s Super Scoreboard programme suggested no points deduction for clubs going into administration and the former Rangers midfielder quickly approved of the idea.
Previously Rae had tried to play the good guy, a neutral battling for transparency. Interested in the greater good of the game, keen to see clubs survive and shedding crocodile tears over the relegation of Partick Thistle.
Every statement from Ibrox was backed to the hilt with key phrases regularly repeated. It was all part of a campaign to play into the online conspiracies, some masterplan to present Celtic with the title that Steven Gerrard’s side deserved to win for their heroic pre-January efforts.
With an EGM on May 12 the talking and statements count for nothing. It’s about evidence now assuming that there are no problems with the April pay-roll.
And there you have it … from Alex Rae on @ClydeSSB … “it would be unfair to punish any club with point deductions for going into Administration”
This is 99.9% coming from inside the The Rangers Football Club / Company.

It’s official, that’s exactly the soundbite he’s been told to promote. He couldn’t get in quick enough.

It’s very interesting that he’s saying this publicly. Things may be even worse at Mordor than we first thought.

I’m sure, given the multitude of statements coming from £1brox clamouring for integrity and impartiality, that they wouldn’t want the existing rules changed in any way. They would want strict, dogmatic adherence to the current laws of the game. Wouldn’t they??

Rae definitely is angling for the job of chairman of the independent investigation team!

The sad reality is, Rae actually believes in what he says. I listened 10 mins tonight and turned it off as he is a total embarrassment. Before SSB put him back in front of a microphone, they should get him some elocution lessons.

Absolutely bang on, this whole faux indignation over the vote has been nothing more than a crafted PR campaign,to pressure @spfl not to deduct points when they hit admin and thereby award Celtic the title. They want others to go to admin with them to save face. Rae is a puppet ?

It’s a disgrace that @ClydeSSB give this man a platform to peddle this nonsense on behalf of The Rangers. To accept it is to be a part of the cheating and propaganda that hes promoting. Shame on them too

Cheerleader/spokesman. He can say what he wants either in the written press or television/radio. No official link to the club anymore. Boyd has made a career out of it. Does their digging and dirty work for them.
