John Kennedy played a secret role in Stopping The Ten in 1998- as a ball-boy at the title clincher against St Johnstone.

On Sunday night BBC Scotland showed a Sportscene re-run of the nerve-shredding match when Wim Jansen’s side clinched the title for the first time in a decade.

Spotted coming off the pitch ahead of Tom Boyd with the trophy is ‘young pup’ Kennedy, two years later he became Celtic’s youngest ever first team player.

Former Kilmarnock midfielder Sammy Clingan picked up on the scene which the Celtic coach shared on his Instagram account.

Since 2014 Kennedy has been helping build up his own medal collection as part of the backroom teams involving Ronny Deila, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon- lifting five consecutive trophies.

The 2019/20 title race is currently on hold but with a 13 point lead and eight matches left to play it seems only a matter of time before Celtic are crowned as campions, on or off the park.
