Dundee are reported to be about to vote YES- and pave the way for 9-in-a-row parties before the end of the month.

Over the weekend there was controversy over what had happened with the Dundee vote as the SPFL waited on the decisive vote for the Championship.

Dundee kept quiet over the weekend while Inverness chief Scot Gardiner ran to various media outlets to reveal how he had been stitched up in a WhatsApp chat.

With Gardiner showing no respect for what were believed to be confidential conversations Dundee appear set to give the SPFL board the green light to pay out their final prize money.

The Daily Record has got a number of big stories wrong recently but undeterred Keith Jackson is again putting his neck on the line:

A close source said: “John has been doing a lot of thinking over these last few days as there are parts of the proposal which he still finds difficult to accept because they are inherently unfair.

“But, at the same time, he also realises there is no easy or completely fair solution to the problems that the pandemic has created. He is also aware that 85 per cent of the clubs have voted for these measures and some of them are in urgent need of the financial assistance which this plan would provide.

“The belief and the expectation now is that he will indeed register Dundee’s vote and that he will back the SPFL’s proposals even though he’s clearly struggling with various aspects.”

Approval of the proposal will allow the SPFL to pay out prize money in The Championship, League One and League Two with promotion and relegation impacted.

UEFA are expected to give the go-ahead for Game Over in domestic leagues when they meet on April 23- when that happens it will be 9-in-a-row again as Scott Brown joins Billy McNeill is winning the title for nine consecutive seasons.
