Derek McInnes has stated what everyone outside of Ibrox knows- Celtic are the Scottish champions.

Since the turn of the year Neil Lennon’s side have stretched their lead at the top of the table from two to 13 points, they have also built up a +25 goal difference advantage.

Everyone in the game wants to see the final eight rounds of fixtures played but with each passing week of Lock Down the earliest date for resumption seems to be getting pushed back.

Yesterday Dave Cormack admitted that in the United States they are openly taking about no public sport being played again this year with the likelihood of the 2019/20 season being completed on the park looking less likely.

Aberdeen’s players and staff have agreed to defer part of their salaries with Derek McInnes giving a realistic update to BBC Scotland:

If there’s a way this can be finished, we need to not give up on that too soon. But we’re all realistic enough to know that it’s becoming less and less likely.

The likelihood is Celtic would go on and win the league so maybe that decision – if we can’t get the league finished – might be easier to deal with, unless you’re a Rangers supporter, and I see a lot of common sense in that.
