Most Dad’s might be a bit concerned when they find a stranger sharing a video call with their daughter.

But the father of ‘Sienna dancer’ wasn’t in the slightest bit worried, if fact he was quite chuffed when the stranger turned out to be Jeremie Frimpong.

If it hadn’t been for Lockdown the young Celt could have found himself on the receiving end of some west of Scotland hospitality with a fish supper and Irn Bru on offer as Sienna’s dad eyes up a source of away tickets as well as solid son-in-law material.

As Lock Down reaches towards a full month and a sixth weekend without football approaches there are few normals left but with everyone confined to their home, players and supporters are largely in the same situation although not many fans have sprawling gardens or a gym in their garage.

A year ago Frimpong wasn’t known in Glasgow, similarly the teenage Manchester City prospect wouldn’t have understood much about the unique chemistry that makes Glasgow spin around.

But once you pick up a red card and a winner’s medal while creating a national catch-phrase in ‘Oh My Days’ you become almost an adopted Glaswegian with Frimpong’s place in folklore assured, with or without Sienna Dancer and her Celtic Dad.
