More rarely seen footage from Lisbon has been shared by the Highland Paddy Twitter account.
A cine camera was about as cutting edge as Joe Public could get at the time with one intrepid fan packing one into their luggage for Lisbon.
With a centre stand seat the ‘cameraperson’ was inside the Estadio Nacional nice and early, capturing the Celtic players coming out to check out the pitch about an hour before kick-off.
First part of rare silent footage of the Celtic players , staff and directors on the park at Lisbon in 1967 leading up to kick off .
I’ll post the follow up to it later

Wearing club blazers, shirt and ties the players can be seen looking around the stands for familiar faces with Bertie Auld, John Fallon, Charlie Gallagher and Bobby Murdoch catching up with friends over for the match.
Later in the clip you can see all-time top scorer Jimmy McGrory enjoying the build up in the company of Bob Kelly.
By the time the players got kitted out for the match history was about to be made, over 50 years later fresh footage of the club’s greatest day is always welcome when shared online.
