The anger over an SPFL vote has provided a timely distraction away from the collapse of the title challenge from Ibrox.
At the turn of the year the gap between the top two clubs was two points with the Ibrox side having a favourable run of fixtures. Ten games later the difference is now 13 points.
Fir good measure Steve Gerrard’s team were knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Hearts. The Edinburgh side have won four out of 30 SPFL matches this season, they are four points adrift of Hamilton Accies and require league reconstruction to avoid relegation.

Gerrard has avoided scrutiny of that record, Sutton and others are taking the flak for his failings and a second season without a trophy for the Liverpool legend.
