As the 9-in-a-row celebrations continue through the weekend Celtic’s away support has had more to celebrate than most.

With another title win to reflect on under a new manager and different style of play the bhoys have been devastating on the road,

Just 800 fans enjoyed the away day win at Ibrox but around 10,000 fans filled the away sections at the Olympico Stadium in Rome to celebrate Olivier Ntcham’s late winner and a first ever victory on Italian soil.

A derby defeat at the end of December and European reverses to Cluj and Copenhagen were hurtful but as Lennon pointed out to the Daily Record his team have been almost untouchable away from home.

Last summer I felt we could be more penetrating and we have been. We lost two games away in all competitions and that was to Cluj and Livingston.

That is pretty impressive. Without getting carried away I am delighted with what we have produced. I feel it is my team now. We have kept some structure from Brendan’s time and the players’ routines and things.

But we tweaked a few things in training and the way we wanted to play. We looked at things in January, changed the formation and it worked well. People might deem it as a gamble but it was a calculated one and worked out perfectly.

The defeat at Livingston was the perfect storm as everything that could go wrong turned up over 90 painful minutes. Away to Cluj the League Cup winners enjoyed a night at home watching their deputies in action.

From Sarajevo in July onwards Lennon’s side were almost unstoppable onwards as they chalked up the wins in Scotland and elsewhere to make it a season to remember.
