Celtic fans have joined BBC Scotland in celebrating Steven Gerrard’s two year reign at Ibrox.
Back in 2018 the football world shuddered as the Liverpool legend took over from Graeme Murty but Celtic just shrugged their shoulders and continued winning trophies.
Gerrard came to put Celtic in their place, so far marking his own homework he has scored 0/6 with the last few weeks of the current season hitting new lows. In successive matches the bottom team in the Premiership beat Gerrard’s side 1-0. Not even a goal against the combined might of Hearts and Hamilton.
As the new year of 2020 opened Gerrard took his title challenging squad to Dubai in a bid to win his first proper trophy in management.
In the 10 matches since the squad returned the gap at the top of the table has stretched from two points to 13 with Gerrard regularly chucking his own players under the bus while deflecting any blame away from his own multiple failures.
His failings have been legendary, too many to mention with Celtic fans quick to celebrate two years with a new gaffer in charge of failure at Ibrox.
It’s two years to the day since Steven Gerrard was appointed Rangers manager.
We look back at his tenure so far in Gerrard’s own words.https://t.co/jbcjE5kKyc pic.twitter.com/WGXR5FjO6Y

Did they not get a trophy for playing really well against 10 men in a final but ultimately getting beaten because they’re not good enough?

Have you reached out to the DUP for their opinion on this?

He’s achieved even less than Warburton having managed about 30 more games and MW was sacked/resigned/mutually agreed after a couple of years and called a dud.
Gerrard is no better than average….if I’m being generous

2 seasons & 6 attempts to win trophy winning none. Only made 1 final in 4 cup attempts. First league season finished distant 2nd, 9pts behind. In 2nd season 13pts behind in league by March & getting regularly beaten by bottom of league clubs. Long may he reign! pic.twitter.com/bQ8OQChyBT

Not clicking that but in his own words? is something like “I’m very disappointed, I’m hurting, listen the buck stops with me, however if it wasn’t for all the individual defensive errors, strikers missing easy chances and biased referees then I’d be a treble winner by now.”
