Celtic fans have joined BBC Scotland in celebrating Steven Gerrard’s two year reign at Ibrox.

Back in 2018 the football world shuddered as the Liverpool legend took over from Graeme Murty but Celtic just shrugged their shoulders and continued winning trophies.

Gerrard came to put Celtic in their place, so far marking his own homework he has scored 0/6 with the last few weeks of the current season hitting new lows. In successive matches the bottom team in the Premiership beat Gerrard’s side 1-0. Not even a goal against the combined might of Hearts and Hamilton.

As the new year of 2020 opened Gerrard took his title challenging squad to Dubai in a bid to win his first proper trophy in management.

In the 10 matches since the squad returned the gap at the top of the table has stretched from two points to 13 with Gerrard regularly chucking his own players under the bus while deflecting any blame away from his own multiple failures.

His failings have been legendary, too many to mention with Celtic fans quick to celebrate two years with a new gaffer in charge of failure at Ibrox.
