Kris Commons’ Celtic legacy is under further attack after he joined the media campaign calling for an Independent Investigation into the SPFL vote to decide the outcome of the four divisions based on average points per game.
On April 11 Douglas Park called for the suspensions of Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie based on the evidence of a whistle blower. Last week when the dossier was released there was no firm evidence just a serious of allegations based on innuendo.
Radio Scotland have been relentless in supporting calls for an Investigation and support of the dossier. Even when Tom English had the difference between an advance and a loan explained to him he refused to back off. Â On Sunday he was counting on the support of Brora Rangers and Kelty Hearts in the vote even though neither is a member of the SPFL.
Commons should be assured of his place among the greatest Celts on this century, playing a significant role in winning five titles and helping Neil Lennon’s side to reach the last 16 of the 2012/13 Champions League.
Since retiring and taking up a media career it would be an understatement to say that he has been a massive disappointment.
Alongside Kris Boyd on Sky Sports he has nodded along to every piece of nonsense aimed at detracting from Celtic’s run of success.
Until his move to England at the end of last year he was a favoured token Celt pundit on Radio Scotland. As Kenny MacIntyre barked his support for the latest conspiracy inspired by Ibrox social media Commons would go along with the flow with barely a challenge to the views of Billy Dodds, Neil McCann, Derek Ferguson and Alex Rae.
The bond that he held with Celtic supporters since his playing days has been wearing thin, with today’s support for the water pistol dossier his remaining credibility has almost vanished. As consolation for his piece in the Daily Mail he can expect a call from Radio Scotland this week to share his views.

The only thing Kris Commons is right about in that Daily Record article is that Neil Doncaster has shown no leadership throughout all this and has been a spineless loser, but his pandering to Rangers after his initial opinion on them is so so typical.
So insincere.

On the bright side of no football we’ve not had to suffer the halfwits from @SkySports Andy Walker, Kris Commons or that tool Boyd, so there’s that. #SPFL
