Kris Ajer has announced a switch of agency by joining Dutch based firm SEG.

Since his professional career got underway in Norway he was represented by Tore Pedersen who handled his move to Celtic in 2016 and renewed contract two years later.

Earlier this year Pedersen was quoted claiming that Ajer was looking to move on from Celtic but the only change that has been made has been to move to SEG.

Some Celtic fans might think that the change of representative is a reaction to the speculation about moving on but a look at the clients with SEG would suggest that the young Norwegian is likely to be moving to mainland Europe.

Robin van Persie is SEG’s most famous former client with Memphis Depay and Danny Blind among their current clients.

Ajer has two years left to run on his current Celtic deal which represents the critical period for both club and player.

If an extension isn’t signed in the next 12 months a transfer is likely next summer with clubs well aware that the final year of a player’s contract often a write off as they prepare for their next club.
