Steven Gerrard is lining up a sock swoop for highly rated starlet Dion McGhee.
Incredibly Manchester United have released the 19-year-old who has been compared to a young Jordan Rossiter.
Gerrard has already brought the untried Calvin Bassey to Ibrox on a four year deal and has been strongly linked with 17-year-old Blackpool striker Tony Weston. Bassey turned down offers from West Ham and Bayer Leverkusen in order to secure a dream move to Ibrox.

Last summer the Ibrox boss brought in Max Hastie, Jordan Jones, Brandon Barker and Sheyi Ojo to stop 9-in-a-row and now seems to be concentrating on the EPL scrapheap to deny Celtic a 10th successive title.
It seems that a phone call from the Liverpool legend is all that is required to get players to get players on board the Gerrard Express.
The interest in McGhee and Weston highlights the total failure of Craig Mulholland’s Murray Park Academy to produce any players for the first team squad.
Last season Ianis Hagi was the youngest player used by Gerrard in the SPFL with the highly rated Young McCrorie now turning out at right-back on loan to Portsmouth in the third tier of English football.
