Ianis Hagi will be paid a basic salary of £1m a year from Ibrox, presumably before deductions for Income Tax and National Insurance with bonuses added in for international success.

The midfielder is on the fringes of the Romanian national side which is in the Play Offs for Euro 2020 with two more ties needed to reach next summer’s finals.
