Odsonne Edouard has been voted into third place in a list of ten Future Stars nominated by Marca, the respected Madrid based football magazine.
The combination of his international pedigree and impact at Celtic has put the 22-year-old in the spotlight with hoops fans hoping that there is minimal transfer activity this summer.
Virgil van Dijk and Moussa Dembele have showcased the level of player that Celtic develops with those two players illustrating that there is more to Scottish football than racking up high scoring wins against inferior opposition.
Eduardo Camavinga of Rennes and Lyon’s Rayan Cherki top the list of players under 23 indicating the high regard that French footballers are held in.

Edouard is 22 years old and has scored 21 goals in the Scottish Premier League.
He is not playing in a big league and we need to see him in another championship.
The Celtic star is fast and skilful. He is a modern forward, because he is more than a striker.
With the France’s under-21s, he has scored 11 goals in six games. We shouldn’t rule him out for Les Bleus’ senior squad.
Celtic signed Edouard on loan from PSG in August 2017 after a disappointing season on loan at Toulouse.
A year later the move was made permanent for a club record fee of £9m with that investment returned in full with Edouard firmly established as Celtic’s main striker over the last two seasons.
Halfway through his contract the 22-year-old will be in the thoughts of all top European clubs but with 10-in-a-row as the incentive Celtic fans are hoping that there is at least one more season in French Eddie.
