Leigh Griffiths’ brother has reassured Celtic fans that the striker is ‘hungrier and itching to go again’ after yesterday’s cryptic Instagram post.
Quoting a line from a Lewis Capaldi song that ‘I’ll be gone this time next year’ was certainly open to interpretation on a number of fronts.
The year 2019 was virtually a write-off for the striker after being given time off to deal with some undefined issues.

Griffiths was written off by many at the end of the year, including Kris Boyd, but roared back in to action after the winter break to play a key role in Celtic’s title triumph.
The former Hibs striker has now played his part in seven successive title wins with an appetite for at least one more.
Before football was suspended on March 13 Griffiths bagged a hat-trick against St Mirren with the Celtic support looking forward to more days like that when the new season kicks-off.
