Image for Celtic’s lime green ‘Love Street kit’ goes online

Celtic’s reported lime green change kit has surfaced on Twitter this afternoon, complete with price tag which seems to be the way of authenticating the kit.

An image of James Forrest wearing the kit surfaced recently but in that picture the top looked more white than lime green. If today’s image is genuine then it is certainly close to the mid-eighties change kit best remembered for the 1986 last day title win at St Mirren.

Davie Hay’s side wore the kit for the first time in a 4-1 win away to Aarhus in 1983 and continued to wear it until the start of the centenery season when it was replaced by a yellow/gold top with green trim.

Celtic Underground has had a few leaked images of the Adidas kits with fans on a craze of Adidas kit at the moment.

Last week the club website struggled to cope with pre-orders for the club’s training wear but today it was the home kit and goalkeeping strip that had fans all occupied online.

The club website was managing to get upto 10 images at a time on display, over at JD the full range was on display with pictures of the players.
