Connor Goldson has hit out at the abusive Ibrox fans against their players taking the knee.

Following the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis the gesture has been taken up by sportsmen and women across the globe.

When the EPL resumed in June the phrase BLACK LIVES MATTER replaced names on the back of player shirts with the BLM logo continuing to appear on club shirts.

Before the friendly matches against Lyon and Nice all players took the knee with Goldson and some of his team-mates raising a fist for Black Power.

The official club Twitter account decided to use the image which was instantly swarmed with abusive comments from supporters. All Lives Matter and White Lives Matter were among the more civil comments made.

Despite launching their in-house Anyone Everyone campaign last July the Ibrox club appears to have taken no action, or even challenged some of the comments on their Twitter account.

Last season Ibrox was twice partially closed by UEFA due to racist actions by supporters. No action has ever been taken by the SFA or SPFL on racist issues at the club.

Goldson has two years left on his Ibrox contract.
