Jamie O’Hara has hit back at Ally McCoist’s claims of delusion over the Tribute Act that he led to the 2013 Scottish Football League Third Division title.

On Monday the former Spurs midfielder claimed that Bournemouth were a bigger club for Steven Gerrard to manage which seemed to upset the Gullible as they come to terms with Celtic closing in on 10-in-a-row.

By every measure except crowds Bournemouth are bigger than the heavily in debt Ibrox club. If they wanted Flo Kamberi he’d be on the pitch telling the locals that as a kid in Switzerland he always wanted to play at Dean Court.

A selective view of the past is where McCoist is most comfortable, where Dave Murray’s scams brought dozens of players to Ibrox that couldn’t have been afforded through legal means.

Since Murray stepped aside the debts have replaced trophies at Ibrox. Calvin Bassey has taken over from Michael Ball and Arthur Numan, James Tavernier has been a fixture in the side for five years under four managers with just a Petrofac Cup winners medal to his name.

In 2012 McCoist pleaded with the Ibrox support to save their club. With hands deep in their pockets they shuffled away, liquidation followed. As manager McCoist led the Tribute Act to cup defeats to Falkirk, Alloa, Queen of the South, Forfar and Raith Rovers despite paying more money in a week on hotel bills than their opponents forked out on wages.

With spending stalled and law suits from Sports Direct, Hummel and Memorial Walls coming down the line McCoist is in for a shock when Gerrard finally gets accepted to move on to a bigger club in the second tier of English football.
