Odsonne Edouard has shared his delight of his stunning goal against KR Reykjavik.

With Albian Ajeti and Patryk Klimala about to come off the substitutes bench Celtic’s first choice striker had one last opportunity to put his name on the scoresheet.

Collecting a pass from Olivier Ntcham 25 yards from goal he used his right foot to dazzle three defenders then slotted a low left foot shot across the goalkeeper into the net to put Celtic 5-0 in front.

Edouard came close to scoring a number of times during the first half but his luck was out with one close range effort appearing to be cleared by the arm of a KR defender on the goal-line.

Ajeti and Klimala failed to make any real impact in the last 20 minutes but it’s difficult to make an impression when you come on with your team leading 5-0.

With four goals from three matches this season Edouard will lead the line for Celtic away to Dundee United on Saturday- and in next week’s Champions League Second Round Qualifier as Neil Lennon’s side edge towards the group phase of the competition.
