Kieran Tierney has revealed that he was never in the Green Brigade but was in among the Ultras Group on an infamous night at Fir Park in 2013.

The former Celtic defender covered loads of areas in his career to date during a podcast for Open Goal where his fondness for all matters Celtic was as obvious as ever.

Whenever a trophy was won Tierney would be at the heart of the celebrations, taking a megaphone from the fans, waving a scarf or getting their banner onto the pitch.

Some times lines have been crossed by the Green Brigade but the night at Fir Park resulted in a lot of damage which led to a fairly long ban from Celtic Park.

Hangers on have long been an issue with the blame for most matters pinned on the Green Brigade collectively with Tierney ringside at Fir Park as Celtic won a Friday night match.

I knew them and I sat next to them. There were two different groups, The Green Brigade and Bhoys, SMD they are called, two different groups and I was pals with both of them growing up. Obviously going on the pitch I had a connection with both of them.

Paul Slane: Were all your mates in there?

KT: Yeah, in both them. Growing up that’s where all my mates were. See the Motherwell away match (December 2013) where it all went mentoe, where all the seats were out.

Hendo (Liam) played, he was a year above me, I’d trained with him a couple of weeks before and I’m here with all the mad men. Hendo has came on, Bahrudi (Atajic) has scored and I’m thinking what am I doing.
