Lille are planning the ultimate insult on Alfredo Morelos by snapping up Ibrox flop Umar Sadiq.
Two weeks after a French journalist tweeted about the striker agreeing personal terms with the Ibrox striker the story hasn’t moved on.
Various claims of offers/bids etc etc have circulated from the usual sources without any reaction from either club.
Sadiq went to Ibrox on loan in July 2018 but after a few months behind Morelos and Kyle Lafferty he was returned to Roma with no goals added to his CV.
Over the last year the Nigerian has been in outstanding form for Partizan Belgrade with Manchester United linked with a move earlier this year.

Lille have launched a shock bid to sign Rangers flop Umar Sadiq as an alternative to Alfredo Morelos – according to a report. The French giants have Financial Fair Play issues and and face some serious signing questions this summer.
And they’ve moved onto a player who couldn’t get a game for the Ibrox side because of the form of Morelos – who grabbed his first two goals of the season on Sunday.
Sadiq has impressed since joining Partizan Belgrade after his Rangers loan spell ended with just four appearances and no goals in Steven Gerrard’s first campaign.
However, Nigerian outlet OwnGoal Nigeria say Lille have submitted a second bid in for him but it isn’t at the level that Partizan Belgrade want for the frontman. They believe they can sell him for a fee of at least €15million, but the Ligue 1 side haven’t got close to that yet.
After selling Pepe to Arsenal and Victor Osimhen over the last 12 months for around £150m Lille have nothing to worry about over Financial Fair Play.
