Neil Lennon has admitted that a club has expressed an interest in Tom Rogic.
The midfielder has yet to make an appearance in Celtic’s three competitive matches this seaspn with his position the strongest in Lennon’s squad.
On Wednesday a report in the Daily Mail suggested that negotiations with a club in Qatar were quite well advanced but Lennon didn’t give off that impression when he faced the media at lunchtime today.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon says a club “expressed an interest” in Tom Rogic but nothing more at the moment. On Shane Duffy “I think it’s common knowledge an interest has been expressed but that’s all it is”. He says he’s still looking for a centre half & striker.

After being a key figure in the first two seasons of Brendan Rodgers time at the club injuries have seen the Australian internationalist fall down the pecking order at Celtic.
Callum McGregor, Scott Brown and Ryan Christie are the three first choice midfielders with Olivier Ntcham appearing to be next in line for a place.
Rogic’s place in Celtic folklore is assured with some fantastic big match goals but over the last two seasons those moments have declined sharply with many fans resigned to the fact that his future may lie elsewhere.
