Celtic look like having their work cut out to bring Noa Lang to Scotland.
According to Goal reporter Ronan Murphy Hertha Berlin, Villarreal and Real Sociedad are looking at a permanent move with a €7-8m price tag with Celtic’s suggesting a season long loan with an obligation to buy.
Murphy seems well connected and knowledgeable about the Continental game but it’s rare for a loan deal to come with an obligation to buy included.

Transfermarkt claims that Lang will be out of contract next summer which normally reduces the value on a player, although he has been a Dutch youth internationalist, he has only made a handful of top team appearances for Ajax.
Clearly coming through the ranks at Ajax adds to any players value but in the current climate it is difficult to see a club paying big money with less than a year to run on his contract.
Lang seems to have a similar profile to Alfonso Riquelme of Atletico Madrid with either player certain to start their Celtic career as back up to James Forrest.
