Chris Sutton caught the mood of the Celtic support by describing the 1-1 draw at Kilmarnock as a flat performance.
Other than a brilliantly taken free-kick from Ryan Christie it was one of those performances where the team could have played all night without looking like scoring.
Two shots on target from 70% possession gives an accurate reflection of how the game went with Sutton summarising from afar.
Flat from Celtic. Well played Kilmarnock. That’s the league over already then…

Not a good start to the season for the Celtic centre backs… slack as anything 1-1

After resolving the goalkeeping issue central defence and a scoring alternative to Odsonne Edouard needs addressed.
In January Leigh Griffiths gave the team a cutting edge but with a range of issues and now calf muscle injuries there is no guarantee over the contribution of the former Hibs striker.
Celtic have dropped points before at Rugby Park and other plastic surfaces and gone on to comfortably win the title.
The frustration from fans today comes from the increased stakes this season and points dropped from weaknesses in the squad that most have been concerned about for months.
