A guessing game in underway to identify the Aberdeen Eight.
With the city in Lockdown news from Pittodrie over the last 24 hours has been increasingly grim.
Social media rumours developed into news of one positive test in Derek McInnes’ squad through to two with six other players admitting that they too were out in the city centre venues and forced into self-isolation.
Last night the club announced that they will be without eight players for their next three matches which includes Celtic on August 15.

McInnes will face the media today where his squad details will carry more interest than normal, bookies have already taken the match off their coupons for the weekend.
This morning the Scottish Government and chairman Dave Cormack have already commented on the actions of the Aberdeen Eight- the restart of professional football was close to being halted due to the selfishness and foolishness of a group of players.
Aberdeen’s season is under threat, the ‘Eight’ will be available for their Europa League qualifier on August 20 but their sentence is only just beginning.
