‘Between him Rashford or Sterling wide left’ How Gary McAllister turned into a laughing stock

|

Gary McAllister has claimed that Ryan Kent must be getting close to a place in the England team.

Gareth Southgate has close to a dozen proven attacking options to select from but after half a dozen decent performances in the SPFL and two Europa League qualifiers the Ibrox assistant is pushing the claims of the Liverpool reject.

The claim was made during a Zoom conference call today with a specially invited group allowed to question McAllister.

Last summer Kent was available for £7m to any club in the EPL but in the final hours of the transfer window Steven Gerrard swooped for the winger.

In two full seasons at Ibrox Kent has picked up one Betfred Cup runners-up medal to show for his efforts but with Ross Wilson failing to bring in a significant transfer fee Kent’s recent performances are getting the Morelos treatment.

So far in this transfer window Gerrard has splashed £11m to sign Cedric Itten, Kemar Roofe and Ianis Hagi with just £185,000 raised from Hull City from the sale of Greg Docherty.
