No matter how often you listen to it Radio Clyde’s Super Scoreboard retains an incredible ability to shock- and laugh out loud.

Did he really say that is a regular reaction as the Clydebank based station throws the airwaves open to their listeners to air their views.

With too much time spent reading up on conspiracies and other outrageous views, last night a caller to Scoreboard explained how he feels James Tavernier’s career will rank alongside that of Henrik Larsson!

Yeah the guy that has the 2016 Petrofac Cup winners medal will rank alongside the Swede that has scored more European goals than anyone else in Scottish football.

Maybe not as good as Larsson but he’ll be up there as one of the greatest signings in Scottish football history!

In season 2002/03 Larsson scored 11 times in 11 UEFA Cup matches, not in qualifiers but in real games against real teams like Blackburn Rovers, Celta Vigo, Liverpool, Boavista and Jose Mourinho’s Porto.

The guy that won the 2001 Golden Boot as organised by UEFA, not the Daily Record version of a decade earlier.

After seven trophy laden seasons at Celtic Larsson went on to play for Barcelona and Manchester United, despite the usual spin no club has ever expressed an interest in Tav who told his club’s programme readers that his team-mates just couldn’t cope with the pressure of expectations.

Last December in the final of the League Cup captain Tav handed the ball to Alfredo Morelos when his side were given a penalty against Celtic. Fraser Forster saved from the Colombian as Tav stood back preparing to add a runners-up medal to his show-box of honours.
