Kris Boyd’s combined Glasgow XI was met with a predictable response from Celtic fans- some were surprised that he managed to find a place for four of Neil Lennon’s players in his dream-team.
It seems that the longer that Celtic are successful the more difficult it becomes for Boyd and others in the media to acknowledge the undoubted ability of the hoops squad.
At the age of 22 Kris Ajer is a serial winner and a regular internationalist- the sort of accolades that James Tavernier and Conor Goldson could only dream of after a combined tally of seven years in Scottish football.
Boyd of course is entitled to his opinion, Sky Sports and The Sun pay him to share those views but any prospect of credibility is dead in the water.
Lennon and Scott Brown are well versed in the unique ways that the opinion of Boyd and others are sought out in Scotland, don’t expect any traditional broadcaster or news producer to contact Tommy Boyd any time soon.
As ever Celtic do their talking on the park, the place that matters that has served them rather well over the last nine years.

Really don’t get all this hype around Rangers. What have they won, absolutely nothing. Connor Goldson is brutal, last season the Rangers support wanted rid of him and Tav, now they’re world beaters again. Mark my words Celtic will win the league again, absolutely no doubt.
