Chris Sutton has finally admitted that it is all over for Neil Lennon as Celtic boss.
The former hoops striker has defended his former team-mate at every turn through the current depressing run of form that has now extended to two wins in 10 matches after today’s Betfred Cup defeat at home to Ross County.
In midweek Sutton reacted to a banner from fans demanding Lennon step down by describing them as a bunch of idiots. The sentiments were mild compared to the reaction on Social Media to today’s defeat.

However after the 4-1 Europa League defeat to Sparta Prague Sutton changed his tone with Lennon’s biggest supporters falling silent.
Goals in each half ended Celtic’s four year winning run in cup ties with the future of Lennon the immediate issue with his side knocked out of three competitions before November is over.
On Thursday Celtic travel to the San Siro to take on AC Milan but the bigger date is next Sunday when they return to SPFL business at home to St Johnstone.
