Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond were in the firing line of Celtic fans after the hoops drew 1-1 at home to St Johnstone.
Already out of three cup competitions before the start of December Celtic now trail by 13 points in the SPFL on the back of a dreadful run of two wins in 12 matches.
Last week Keith Jackson of the Daily Record quoted a source close to Desmond standing by Lennon, on Tuesday Lawwell made a plea for unity through a statement on the club website.
Blind faith is no longer sustaining the Celtic support as they look in on what could have been a historic season potentially lying in ruins on January 3.
Lawwell has said very little to fans this year despite 50,000 fans paying up for full price Season Tickets being offered nothing more than a stream to watch the suffering from home.
Lennon was given a 12-month rolling contract soon after the Final of the Scottish Cup in 2019 but with Celtic facing Hearts again in two weeks the pressure is mounting on Lawwell and Desmond to have a new boss in charge at Hampden.
Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond’s legacy is most definitely not going to be 10 in a row. It’s this.
Sack Lennon.
Sack Lawwell.
Sack Desmond. This club needs change and it needs change now. pic.twitter.com/Bv2Giu52P4

Dermot and Lawwell need to come clean and tell the @CelticFC support why they still have faith in Lenny when it is clear most of us don’t. The fans have invested heavily in the club in difficult circumstances and the board have a duty to communicate. HH

Dermot Desmond and Peter Lawwell kept him in a job an extra week to spite the fans. A club run like amateurs.

History will not look back kindly on Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond.
Their legacy was build on the hope of this season delivering 10 in a row, which they have failed to do.— Connor (@_CLMike_) December 6, 2020
