Neil Lennon has told his first team stars that no one is leaving in January.

After losing to Ferencvaros in the Champions League qualifiers in August the Celtic boss mentioned that some players were looking to move elsewhere.

With Odsonne Edouard, Kris Ajer, Olivier Ntcham and Ryan Christie out of contract in June 2022 there are only two more transfer windows for Celtic to get a worthwhile transfer fee but according to Lennon any business will be left until the summer.

The Sun reports the hoops boss saying:

We’ve spoken to them already and told them no one is going. We may have to take a view in the summer but the message is, ‘Settle yourselves down and concentrate on the job in hand’.

They have a possibility of doing more great things. You are talking about four or five months. It’s not a massive chunk out of your life to knuckle down and play and do what you are good at. We are not going to put up with agitation any more

Celtic spent around £15m on new faces during the summer transfer window with no fees coming in to offset that expenditure.

With no Champions League football and minimal prize money from finishing in bottom place in their Europa League group the club could be looking at a significant loss for the season.

Lennon is expecting January 2021 to be quieter than previous windows with bringing in a winger the most likely addition to his squad.
