Santa provided some early festive cheer for Celtic fans as the Quadruple Treble was delivered at the expense of Hearts.

The Edinburgh side arrived at Hampden full of anger and resentment after finishing bottom of the Premiership and getting relegated to the Championship.

Wee Naisy wore the armband and put in his usual nasty sort of display, arriving late to put the boot into Celtic players and falling over whenever he had possession.

On the sidelines Lee McCulluch was showing off the dental tips that he picked up during a day at Lennoxtown with Brendan Rodgers while Andy Halliday was apparently playing in his second cup final in five years.

Celtic’s frailties were on show as the match went all the way to penalties, when Ryan Christie missed the trophy was two kicks away from Tynecastle but in the spirit of Albert Kidd the Jambos made a mess of it with their armchair fans left devastated just as they had been 34 years ago at Dens Park.
