Celtic recorded their first win of 2021 with a routine 2-0 win over Hamilton Accies.
The partnership between Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths was restored with the strikers scoring in each half.
Celtic had already threatened the Accies goal a couple of times before a low, well placed 25 yard shot from Griffiths darted inside Ryan Fulton’s right-hand post.
It was one way traffic towards Fulton’s goal but Celtic were frustrated around goal with just that Griffiths goal separating the side’s at half-time. At the other end of the park Scott Bain, making his first appearance of 2021 was barely troubled.
Three minutes into the second period the Scotland striker turned provider, threading a ball through to Edouard who showed good close control before poking the ball into the net from eight yards out.
It was the result that the club badly needed, on Saturday Celtic host St Mirren who won 5-1 away to Dundee United earlier tonight.
