Celtic virtually closed down their communications yesterday with the club appearing to be in a state of disarray.

Gavin Strachan- We know we can do better’ appeared on the club website on Sunday afternoon with nothing added during a dramatic Monday as Neil Lennon returned to Lennoxtown.

The lunchtime media conference dominated the news headlines for the rest of the day but it was an issue that the club refused to touch other than two tweets that left more questions than answers.

With quotes and clips from Lennon’s media conference dominating Twitter, the club opted to remain silent as fans tried to piece together what had actually happened. Clips from Strachan and Callum McGregor post-match on Saturday are on the club’s You Tube channel but nothing from yesterday’s conference with the manager.

At 6pm Radio Scotland played their audio which seemed to suggest that during the conference Communications Manager Iain Jamieson informed the manager of another positive test. Why the conference was scheduled a day early and why it went ahead while awaiting test results is another mystery among many.

STV published a five-minute version of the media conference but in these situations the cut from the editor is everything as they shape the clip to suit their content.

Celtic TV commentator Peter Martin has promised to upload the full conference today with his PLZ chat show sharing a number of clips on Twitter during the afternoon.
