Celtic’s communications nightmare continued today with their media partners invited to a Zoom conference with Scott Brown.

Yesterday’s conference with Neil Lennon resulted in near meltdown as the Celtic boss hit out at critics in the media, among pundits and in detail at the Scottish Government who he explained had moved the goalposts in terms of Social Distancing

BBC Scotland, Sky Sports, STV, Radio Clyde and PLZ lapped it up as they flooded their Social Media platforms with dynamic content.

Celtic’s Twitter account remained silent with the interview deleted, failing to make it onto the club’s You Tube channel.

Today Celtic’s Communications Team were all over the Brown conference, telling those invited that they were only entitled to ask one question due to time pressures.

With just one question allowed it is difficult to develop a theme as anyone watching Downing Street briefings will have detected over the last 10 months.

It made for a very fractured, staccato type interview but through some slick editing Celtic quickly put up a version on You Tube with answers stitched together to try and make it smoother than reality.

On Sportsound tonight they played the full unedited version, questions in the order that they were posed including the voice of one Celtic jobsworth stepping in to interrupt someone trying to pose a follow up questions.

‘Next question STV’ could be heard with the next reporter asking a similar question to the one cut off.

Tomorrow Celtic Communications Manager Iain Jamieson will be hoping for a less eventful time at Livingston in front of the Sky Sports cameraS.
