Celtic’s Dubai training camp could be cut short with further travel restrititions likely to come into place later today.
Since the first restrictions came into place in March the UK has largely remained open to travel with minimal changes put in place and testing almost non-existent.
With the second wave of the pandemic causing another Lockdown there are expectations that travel restrictions will be stepped up and involve testing and isolating.
Given Michael Gove’s comments this morning, and the announcement that yon excuse for a Prime Minister is going to hold a sudden press conference with Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance at 5pm, if I were Celtic I would be thinking of getting on a plane sharpish!!

Dubai and the UAE are exempt from self-isolating but with British citizens banned from travel to many countries such as Spain the UK Government is under pressure to close down borders.
The Scottish Government have already asked the SFA to look into Celtic’s trip to Dubai but the club responded with a statement that permission was given from the Government in November when the trip was planned.
