Neil Lennon has refused to comment on the future of Ryan Christie.

The midfielder is out of contract in June 2022 with no sign of an extension being agreed with the 25-year-old.

Christie looked to be heading for the exit door when he started the 2018/19 season with a year to go on his deal but a 45 minute substitute appearance against Hearts at Murrayfield turned his Celtic career around.

A new contract was quickly agreed but this season his place in the side has been less secure, against Hamilton and St Mirren he has appeared as a second half substitute.

With his Celtic track record and place in the Scotland squad it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a club in the EPL interested in the 25-year-old.

Reporting on Friday’s conference for Sunday newspapers the Daily Record reports:

He allowed Jeremie Frimpong, one of his key men, to leave for Bayer Leverkusen and, on Friday, he wouldn’t be drawn on the future of Ryan Christie.

Odsonne Edouard has decided that his future lies away from Glasgow’s East End and there are question marks over whether Kris Ajer, Hatem Abd Elhamed, Vasilis Barkas and Albian Ajeti will still be here next season.

With Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull emerging Celtic are well placed in midfield but that could change if Christie and Olivier Ntcham were to leave before the transfer window closes.
