An early deflected shot from Odsonne Edouard gave Celtic a laboured 1-0 win over Aberdeen but many Season Ticket holders missed the 8th minute strike.

Technical problems struck just before kick-off to blank out pictures from Celtic Park which sort of summed up a season in which virtually everything about the club has malfunctioned.

John Kennedy made two changes from Neil Lennon’s last match in charge but neither Patryk Klimala or Diego Laxalt were able to make any real impact on 90 tough minutes.

Aberdeen sent in a few dangerous crosses in the first five minutes but were rarely a threat afterwards with possession shared between the two sides.

Moi Elyounoussi and Ismaila Soro were brought on during the second half as Celtic held on to three points with little real threat from Derek McInnes’ side.

It was a winning start for Kennedy at the end of a troubled week for the club but there wasn’t much to be salvaged other than three points.
