Celtic made it five wins on the bounce with a 1-0 home win over Aberdeen.

A well struck goal from David Turnbull in the 14th minute was the only moment of quality in the game as the Dons made it six matches without a goal.

Celtic started in the ascendency without creating any real chances but a 50 yard run from Callum McGregor opened up space with Turnbull drilling in a low  drive out of the reach of Joe Lewis.

Neil Lennon brought in Stephen Welsh, Ismaila Soro and Albian Ajeti from the side that beat St Johnstone on Sunday but after 30 minutes the hoops struggled to regain control.

Aberdeen won plenty of corners but with Welsh and Kris Ajer reunited in defence the hoops held on for a welcome clean sheet.

On Sunday Celtic head north to take on Ross County looking for a sixth successive win.
