Jim White has confirmed that there will be no further comment or action from Ibrox following Sunday night’s announcement of an internal investigation.

A short time later Police Scotland announced that 10 Fixed Penalties had been issued after a house part in Hayburn Lane in Glasgow’s West End was broken up.

The incident was brought up at the media conference by the First Minister on Monday afternoon but since then it seems that everyone has taken a vow of silence.

Two full business days after the club statement the SFA and SPFL have remained silent.

White is a reliable message source for the Ibrox PR machine with the Daily Record picking up on his comments this morning on TalkSPORT:

Strong words from Nicola Sturgeon there yesterday.  The game in Scotland has been on a yellow card as she said before for some time. There’s a suggestion there that ‘I’m starting to get annoyed now and might lean towards a red card’.

Interestingly, on the Rangers situation, a fellow at the club told me this morning, ‘We’ve no intention of engaging on this issue. The first statement we made clearly said we will be making no further comment.’ So Rangers have effectively shut this down.

Tomorrow Mister Gerrard will host a UEFA controlled media conference to preview Thursday’s match against Royal Antwerp. Access to domestic conferences is carefully controlled with most questions starting with ‘Hi Steven’ or ‘Good Morning Steven’.
