Neil Lennon has no intention of following Peter Lawwell out the door at Celtic in the summer.
Twice the outgoing CEO has hired Lennon as a Caretaker before handing him the job on a full-time basis, most recently after the 2019 Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts at Hampden.
On Friday Lawwell announced that he would be leaving at the end of a disastrous season that has saw the league challenge crumble before the end of January despite a spending spree of £35m.
Across Social Media it seems that 90% of supporters want Lennon to step down but not only has he no intention of doing so- he can’t see any link between his job and Lawwell walking away.
The @CelticFC boss N. Lennon has no plans to follow CEO P. Lawwell out in the summer. “Why would it be my intention to go? Peter’s decision has nothing to do with my position at all, or my coaches or any of the players. So I don’t understand the context of the question at all.”

Lennon accepted the job on a 12 month rolling contract but in December Celtic announced that they will be carrying out a managerial review.
Almost two months later the club hasn’t made any further reference to the review, so far in 2021 Celtic have won one match in six and currently trail top place in the SPFL by 23 points.
