All roads lead to Eddie Howe

Eddie Howe is the odds-on favourite with the bookies to become the next Celtic manager with the odds-on Roy Keane getting the job on the slide.

The former Bournemouth boss has been out of management since last August and seems to be a good fit for what Celtic are looking for.

Although he never got near a trophy providing Bournemouth with five seasons of EPL football appears to be a superior achievement than any other candidate has to offer.

Howe is also strongly tipped to become the next manager of Newcastle and Crystal Palace with Chris Wilder also in contention for those jobs.

A week ago all of the speculation seemed to centre on Keane with Martin O’Neill leading the case for his appointment.

Yesterday the former Manchester United midfielder was on ITV duty for the Albania v England match without any hint or comment about ending his 10 year exile from management.

It is now more than a month since Neil Lennon resigned with only a vague Q and A last week from Dermot Desmond to suggest that a recruitment process is underway.
